Yes, we offer a selection of food & wine baskets which can be ordered either at the time of booking or any time afterwards. Please remember, the accommodation is self-catering and as such contains no food or drink items. It is recommended that you bring essential items with you, such as tea, coffee, water, juice, milk, bread, jam. Tea-towels are also not supplied in the holiday properties and we recomend that you bring a couple with you.

Do you provide Internet Access?

Should you require Internet access we offer a service in which we can provide Internet access via a UMTS USB modem that can be connected to your laptop. We highly recommend that you book well in advance during high season as modems numbers are limited. In the event that there are issues relating to incompatibility we can provide Internet access at our office in Menaggio.

Welche Regelungen gibt es für Führerscheine und Ausweise?

Alle Gäste müssen einen 10-Jahres Ausweis haben, der bei dem Abreisedatum noch mindestens 6 Monate gültig ist. Gäste, die keinen europäischen Ausweis besitzen, müssen mitunter ein Visa beantragen. Weitere Informationen finden Sie in der Behörde Ihres Landes, die die Pässe ausstellt.

What are the passport and driving license requirements abroad?

All passengers must carry a valid 10 year passport with at least 6 months validity prior to the expiry date on the date of the return journey. Visas may be required by certain passengers who do not carry a European passport. Please refer to the passport office of your country for further information.

Can we occupy the accommodation before 4pm on the day of arrival?

The official time for entry to your accommodation is 4pm. If you arrive before 4pm, it may be possible to use the outside facilities. You will not be able to gain access to the accommodation until it has been cleaned. Please remember that previous guests will still be in residence before 10am so no entry to the accommodation or its outside facilities will be allowed before that time.

Das ist leider nicht möglich, da das Projekt für die nächsten Gäste gereinigt und vorbereitet werden muss. Die Reinigungskräfte werden das Projekt um 10.00 Uhr betreten.

Can we vacate the accommodation later than the confirmed time of 10am?

This is not possible as the accommodation will need to be cleaned and prepared for the next guest. The cleaners will access the property at 10am.

Are towels and linen provided at the accommodation?

All bedroom and bathroom linen is provided. You will need to take your own beach towels to use around the pool. Cot linen is not provided; please ensure you take your own.

Wir wissen alle, dass Kinder von Natur aus neugierig sind – vor allem, wenn es darum geht, neue Gebiete und Dinge zu entdecken. Bitte geben Sie Acht, dass Ihre Kinder während des Urlaubes nicht unbeaufsichtigt sind und seien Sie besonders vorsichtig bei Balkonen und Schwimmbädern. Eltern sind jederzeit für ihre eigenen Kinder und deren Aktionen allein verantwortlich.

Children’s safety

As we know, children are naturally curious, especially when on holiday where there are lots of areas and things to be explored. Please ensure that children are not left unsupervised at any time during your holiday and take extra care with balconies and swimming pools etc. Parents are responsible for the actions of their children at all times.

Highchairs/cots

If you require a cot or highchair please request it at the time of booking in order that we can ensure it is at the property on your arrival. A supplementary charge will be added to your invoice. Cots are provided locally and might differ from those you may use at home. Please note that for hygiene reasons they are supplied without cot linen, which you should take with you.

Infinity pools

Please take extra care with children if your pool is described as an ???infinity??™. This style of pool will have an open drop from the pool edge.

Insects/animals

Mosquitoes, ants, cockroaches and other insects are endemic in warmer climates, particularly in the country areas. Ant powders are a good repellent but it also helps to keep crumbs to a minimum. Mosquitoes can be kept at bay by a good repellent, which can be purchased in either your home country or local chemists and supermarkets.

Kitchens

Kitchens include basic cooking utensils, iron, ironing board, cutlery and crockery. Some accommodations have additional facilities. These will be indicated in the property description where available. Please note that cleaning products or materials are not generally provided.

Lost Property

Please ensure all personal possessions are packed when departing your accommodation. Whilst we will endeavour to assist when items are left, unfortunately we are unable to guarantee the return of any items which have been left unattended. Postage, packaging and handling fees will be applied for the return of lost property.

Occupying/vacating your property

The majority of our accommodations can be occupied from 4pm onwards. In order that our properties are adequately prepared for new arrivals, we must ask you to vacate the property by 10am on the day of your departure. We highly recommend that those visitors arriving at night take a torch.

Pools, garden and general maintenance

All our properties are maintained by certain staff that have access. Gardens have to be maintained on a regular basis and it is simply not possible for this to be carried out on ???change-over??™ days. With regard to pool maintenance, pools are normally checked and cleaned twice a week and this is normally carried out very early in the morning to avoid disruption to our clients. However, neither pool nor garden personnel have fixed hours, so it is not possible for us to advise you of the exact date or time of their visit. We ask for your cooperation when our staff visit, as it is imperative to keep the properties well maintained for our clients??™ enjoyment throughout the year.

Satellite TV/video/DVD/games consoles

If the written description for a property indicates satellite television you can expect to receive at least one free to air English language channel. Subscription channels are not available unless stated in the property description. A number of our accommodations are equipped with standard TV??™s, which will only receive local foreign language channels. If a villa is equipped with a DVD, video or games consoles, you will need to provide your own DVD??™s/games. If you require information about a specific property please contact our customer service department.

Holiday Accommodation

The vast majority of the holiday properties are privately owned and are furnished to the owner??™s taste, so the standards and styles of property will inevitably differ. We endeavour to give an accurate description of each property with interior and exterior photographs. Please note that in some properties it is not always possible for the furnishings within the lounge/dining area to accommodate all occupants at any one time. The properties featured operate to their own country??™s standards.

Holiday Accommodation Services

Water, electricity and gas consumption are included within the properties rental cost. Italy limits electrical consumption to 3KW. If the usage exceeds this limit (for example, you have a hairdryer on and an oven), the electrical circuit breaker may trigger resulting in power loss. You will be required to switch one of the electrical appliances off and reset the circuit breaker. In some cases the loss of power to the holiday accommodation also switches off the gas supply. In this case you should reset the electrical circuit breaker and then push or pull on the safety valve located at the gas meter. We ask for your patience and co-operation in such instances, as you will appreciate these situations are out of our control.

Refuge/Garbage

Italy has no home garbage collection service. Instead garbage containers are located within walking distance of properties, normally located in the street. No garbage is to be left at the holiday accommodation and it is expected that garbage is disposed at the containers.

Holiday/Vacations for two weeks for more

If you holiday is for 2 weeks or more you will find a large blue 'Ikea' bag located in the holiday accommodation. This bag contains linen and towels for your second week.

Emergencies

In the event of an emergency, relevant telephone numbers can be found on the inside of the front door. It is important not to panic!

Smoking

There is a no smoking policy for all holiday accommodation. Please do not smoke inside the property.

Groceries

Please do not leave any groceries at the holiday accommodation at departure time. The failure to do so results in extra effort on the cleaning staff reducing their time to ensure the holiday accommodation is of high standard for the next holidaymakers.

For info, Parking bays in Italy are marks white (visitors & residents ??“ free to park), blue (fee paying) and yellow (only for authorized residents-remember do not park here).
