The private residence is situated along the accessible main lake road and the Milan train station line also conveniently passes through this quaint and picturesque village, which is set on the edge of the famous resort town of Varenna and is perfectly placed to enjoy a fantastic self-catering Lake Como stay!
Guests can either reach the property from the stairs leading from the road level or from the same steps which lead from the private parking bay level. Once guests have arrived at the terraced level a spacious and sunny lake view terrace to the front of this lovely holiday home greets guests on arrival, with plenty of space for relaxing and sunbathing.
Opening the French doors to both interconnecting apartments allows for guest to really enjoy this fabulous summer retreat, which allows for the sunny lake views to flood into each of the stunning modern open plan living rooms, which are both furnished high contemporary standard with double sofa beds and a flat screen SAT TV with DVD player to each.
Each apartment features a fully equipped kitchen offering all the desired appliances for preparing delicious meals during your stay, with a gas hob oven, toaster, microwave, dishwasher and electric kettle all provided in a stylish and practical open plan layout, ideal for entertaining during your stay.
Guests can enjoy dining inside or alternatively outside, with the terrace providing a fabulous alfresco dining area, with views over ancient villa grounds and towards the breathtaking lake with its tranquil and at the same time striking natural beauty.
As the apartments interconnect the sleeping accommodation is very flexible and versatile, with two spacious and very comfortable double bedrooms and a double sofa bed situated to each living area. Two newly fitted modern bathrooms are situated in the holiday home as well as a washing machine for guest’s convenience.
From the residence guests can enjoy dining out at the local authentic restaurants of Fiumelatte, Lierna and Varenna as well as the wide selection of local amenities which include grocery shops and train station with links to Milan conveniently located in Fiumelatte. The beach at Lierna provides the perfect place to relax by the lake for the day and water sports are all located on the central lake.
The famous picturesque resort town of Varenna provides the ideal opportunity to fully soak up the timeless romantic charm of the lake, with its medieval cobbled streets leading past cafe lined piazzas, boutique shops and romantic wine bars to secret romantic vistas and beautiful lakefront walks.
The ancient Castello di Vezio is situated above Varenna and with its medieval enactments, falconry displays and banquets, is a popular visitor attraction during the summer months, as well as the breathtaking lakeside botanical gardens of Villa Monastero.
Varenna offers a fast and frequent car and passenger ferry service to Bellagio, Menaggio and Cadenabbia, making this location perfect for accessing all the many and varied central lake activities and attractions!
