A fantastic modern rustico retreat on Lake Lugano!
Situated on the north western shore of Lake Lugano overlooking the lush mountainous eastern shoreline this rustico stone house offers a fantastic family escape!
The beautiful property stands in a wonderful garden and is extremely comfortable and luxurious in its hospitality and features with splendid accommodation arranged thoughtfully and maximising the lake views to the full.
To the ground floor of the house is a Tuscan style open plan kitchen with dining room. The warm earthy tones, open fireplace and solid furniture create a welcoming farmhouse feel and guests can enjoy meals at the dining table with food freshly prepared from the fully fitted kitchen which provides all the necessary appliances for a care free self-catering holiday.
From the kitchen and dining room a door leads to the lake view garden terrace which features a pretty vine covered awning with alfresco dining area. The views from here are spectacular and are the most idyllic and breathtaking of backdrops to memorable dinner parties! Rhododendron lined steps to the side of the house also lead a third informal dining area with a stone built BBQ and bamboo dining furniture.
Indoors from the ground floor kitchen and dining area a spiral staircase leads guests to the first floor living room which boasts direct lake views also! The delightful and sunny room features a beamed ceiling, an inviting fireplace and provides a wonderful place to relax and unwind with sofas and a TV. There is also a sunny balcony to the living room where guests can sit out on with a good book and admire the lush mountains and serene lake.
A sweeping staircase leads guests to the lake view sleeping accommodation which is flexible and family friendly. The double master bedroom is comfortably furnished with draped curtains, Italian chandelier lighting, terracotta tiled floor and a striking floor to ceiling window overlooking the lake.
A second bedroom is ideal for adults sharing with a set of twin single beds which can be pushed together to make a double or left separately. This bedroom also benefits from lovely furnishings and features including a beamed ceiling, terracotta tiled flooring and a floor to ceiling lake view window. A third loft-style bedroom with a set of twin single beds and sloping beamed roof is ideal for children and features views over the garden.
A sofa bed can also be adapted to sleep any additional guests. Two modern fully equipped bathrooms are also situated in the house and laundry facilities are provided for with a washing machine.
Outside the beautiful property the garden is set over two sunny lake view levels with the road level garden featuring a well maintained lawn with covered terrace, sun loungers, a swimming pool and lots of level space for children to run around and play. The stone steps to the side of the house lead to an elevated lawn and an informal BBQ dining area.
Convenient off-street parking is situated as guests approach the property from the road.
Cima is a charming village with a selection of local amenities and benefiting from close proximity to the vibrant resort town of Porlezza, which is just a 7 minute drive away. In Porlezza guests will enjoy a wide variety of shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and family friendly amusements.
The cosmopolitan Swiss city of Lugano is just a 20 minutes drive away and boasts fine dining, boutique shop boulevards, charming cafe-lined piazzas, a wonderful promenade with ferry service, a buzzing night life and a wide variety of daytime sports facilities.
Guests staying in the property are also able to enjoy the wide choice of facilities and activities at the family-friendly Porto Letizia holiday complex which is situated on the sunny Porlezza lakefront and which is just a few minute’s drive away!
The complex offers parking with the main modern Palazzo providing a visitor information desk, laundry facilities, a hair salon and a computer shop.
Visitors can enjoy the stunning lakefront terrace with its contemporary Panama cafe with outdoor seating and the contemporary Italian restaurant ideal for authentic alfresco dining. The evenings are fabulous here and locals gather to enjoy aperitifs and each other’s company as the sun sets over the lush mountain tops.
A sunny lake front outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and mini golf with children’s play area are perfect for daytime fun and the beautiful parkland is ideal for dog walking, cycling and jogging, with lovely areas to enjoy lunchtime picnics under the shade of trees. A sandy beach is also a fabulous feature of the complex and makes a great place to sunbathe, with the Lake Lugano providing the most stunning of backdrops!
From the complex a bridge leads over a passing stream to the promenade of Porlezza where cafés, restaurants and ice cream parlours can be enjoyed and where the main lake road with frequent bus route passes through.

Tea towels & beach towels are not supplied. If your booking is for more than one week, clean linen & towels will be provided on a weekly basis.

To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our online booking form and pay a 30% deposit by wire transfer or credit card. The remaining holiday balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
