Live the high life! This stunning retreat is ideal for couples, small groups and honeymooners with high quality accommodation in a beautiful newly renovated period townhouse and close to all the attractions and activities along the central lake.
Guests are able to find parking along the quiet road to the back and can reach the property entrance from a flight of steps which leads into a quaint back garden, along a path and to the front door.
Once inside steps lead to a fabulous entertainment space with an exceptionally bright and modern open plan living and dining area laid with warm terracotta tiles and clean white washed walls and marvellous high beamed ceilings. The style provides a beautiful blend of elegant and modern, with select antique furnishings including a splendid rococo style gilt mirror effortlessly placed with stylish chic touches including a modernist leather sofa and glass topped dining table and lit by various spot lit areas.
The sitting area provides the perfect place to relax and unwind with a glass of wine and a large SAT flat screen TV is provided for guests as well as a fabulous central fireplace which can be lit for added ambience and romance.
The spacious contemporary kitchen is ideal for hosting dinner parties and features angular white high gloss cabinets with hidden handles, dense glass worktops and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is fully fitted to provide all the desired appliances for your stay and all cutlery and crockery is provided.
A pair of French doors lead from both the living and dining area out onto incredible direct lake view balconies, which are situated to the front of the townhouse and are positioned over the main lake road. The views are enhanced due to the penthouse level and so guests can look over Colonno’s terracotta rooftops and marvel at the unspoilt mountainous eastern shore.
From the open plan living area a door leads into a bright and spacious master bedroom which boasts a stylish double bed, fitted wardrobe and high beamed ceilings for added romance.
The newly fitted bathroom with honey coloured tiles provides a modern bath tub with overhead shower, a wash basin, WC and bidet. A washing machine is provided in the utility cupboard.
Additional guests may be accommodated on the double sofa bed to the stylish mansard floor above, which also boasts beamed ceilings, wooden flooring and lake views from the specially placed roof windows.
The penthouse apartment is situated in a newly refurbished townhouse which is located along the old Colonno main lake road and which enjoys direct access from the back of the property, providing convenient and safe access, with the minimum number of steps.
Colonno is a semi-rustic village which perfectly captivates the authentic ‘la dolce vita’ atmosphere. The town features historical townhouses, churches and a sunny lake view piazza. A lake bus service passes through the town providing guests with routes to Como City, Lugano City and the central lake resort town of Menaggio. The nearby village of Sala Comacina is just a 4 minute’s drive away and is famous for the Lake’s only Island, L’Isola Comacina. A taxi boat takes guests from the shore to the Island where a touristic restaurant is open for visitors during the high season. It is possible to swim in the lake and the public picnic area in Ossuccio provides an idyllic setting overlooking the lake from which to do so.
Ossuccio also provides a bank, bar, fishmongers, tennis courts, grocery shop and a private boat hire service ideal for tourists who would like to explore Lake Como from the water.
Other central lake attractions include Villa Balbianello and Villa Carlotta which can conveniently both be reached by car in under 15 minutes. A fabulous luxury Spa and popular Lido with sandy beach and restaurant bar and nightclub are both situated in Lenno and the famous resort town of Menaggio is just a 20 minute drive away, with frequent ferry services to Varenna and Bellagio.

To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our online booking form and pay a 30% deposit by wire transfer or credit card. The remaining holiday balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
