The property provides a fabulously restful and authentic retreat for guests staying on Lake Como. A splendid open plan living room with dining area provides the perfect family-friendly room in which to entertain and unwind with exposed beam ceiling and stone flooring to create a warm and inviting farmhouse feel. A flat screen TV with DVD player is provided and a sunny terrace to the front of the property provides guests with a sunny place to relax with a good book or glass of wine.
The luxury kitchen is the heart of the house for a self-catering stay and this fully fitted solid marble topped kitchen will make any guest feel at home! Appliances include a gas hob, oven, toaster and microwave.
Flexible high quality accommodation means the property is perfect as a luxury retreat for both groups and families. A spacious and very romantic master bedroom is reached from a spiral staircase and boasts splendid high beamed ceilings with a comfortable double bed and an en-suite shower room.
The second bedroom also enjoys rustic style beamed ceilings and is furnished with two single beds and high quality furniture. A double sofa bed can also be utilised during guests stay for additional guests.
A modern second bathroom is conveniently placed in the property.
Public parking is situated close to the property and guests can easily reach the lakefront of the elegant town of Carate Urio, which provides a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere with its elegant villas, beautiful gardens and pretty unspoilt promenade.
From the village a bus service operates to Como city and the surrounding western shore resort towns. Nearby guests can enjoy dining out at ‘Il Gatto Nero’ and the ‘Hotel Villa D’Este’ in the upmarket resort town of Cernobbio which is just 9 minutes’ drive away and are also perfectly located easily reach by car the romantic lakefront ‘Ristorante Crotto dei Platani’ in Brienno and also the ‘La Piazzetta’ restaurant in Argegno.
Lake Como activities include hiking, cycling, swimming, power boat hire, sailing, water sports, canoeing, golf, tennis, extreme sports and sea plane rides.
The vibrant cosmopolitan city of Como is just 20 minutes drive away and boasts designer shopping, elegant cafe-lined piazzas, trendy bars and clubs, the historical Duomo, the famous Villa Olmo and the funicular railway to Burnate for that perfect photo opportunity!
A frequent passenger ferry service provides a scenic way to view Lake Como and take visitors to the famous central lake resort town of Menaggio. Fast train links also run to Milan and there are excellent motorway links to Lugano and the surrounding Lombardy region.

Our one & two weekly service charges are inclusive of final cleaning, bed linen, towels, heating, utilities & air-conditioning (if installed in the holiday property). Tea towels & beach towels are not supplied. If your booking is for more than one week, clean linen & towels will be provided on a weekly basis.
