The property boasts air-conditioning and provides guests with two spacious living areas ideal for relaxing and entertaining with a spacious country style room with sofa, beamed ceiling, warm painted walls, terracotta tiles and an open fireplace to provide an informal space to unwind. French doors lead out to a sunny private balcony terrace which enjoys views over the vibrant town of Menaggio and also the Lake.
The second living area is more contemporary in design with white walls, a comfortable leather sofa, flat screen SAT TV, a charming fireplace and a comfortable dining area. A modern fully fitted kitchen provides guests with all the desired appliances and utensils to cook lovely meals from the fresh local produce during their stay, including a gas hob oven, microwave and dishwasher.
The accommodation is flexible and is suited to either couples travelling together or small groups and families. Each of the two bedrooms is furnished to a clean comfortable standard and fitted with Italian Matrimonial style doubles which are adult size single beds twinned.
The property conveniently provides two modern bathrooms with power showers, washbasin, WC and bidet. A washing machine is also provided in the property.
The location is perfect for guests travelling on public transport with a bus stop located just 1 minutes walk away with a service to the northern towns of the lake, to Porlezza, Lugano and to the southern towns towards Como city.
A taxi rank, boat taxi, a seasonal airport shuttle service and car and passenger ferry port are also situated just a stone’s throw away!
The picturesque town of Menaggio enjoys a fabulous central lake location, close to all the famous attractions and activities. Guests can enjoy a morning cappuccino in the pretty lakefront piazzas, a stroll along the idyllic promenade, boutique shopping and the fabulous modern Lido di Menaggio with sandy beach, swimming pools, cocktail lounge and onsite pizzeria which is popular throughout the day and evening.
A wide variety of supermarkets and delicatessens can be found in Menaggio as well as a selection of very good restaurants to suit all diners, from the authentic relaxed Pizzerias, the lake front family-friendly ‘Red Bay’ and the highly regarded romantic ‘Ristorante di Paolo,’ all are located in the centre. The nearby Tremezzina shore also boasts a wide selection of restaurants, bars and cafes.
The nearby attractions include Villa Carlotta, Villa Balbianello and the other famous ‘golden triangle’ towns of Bellagio and Varenna. Sport activities include hiking, cycling, swimming, sailing, canoeing, water sports, power boat hire, chartered yacht hire, golf, tennis and extreme sports such as paragliding and quad biking.
In the evenings aperitifs can be enjoyed before dinner at the local bars and highly recommended to try are aperitifs at ‘La Cantina Follie’ bar and the ‘Aqua Cheta’ boathouse bar; both in Tremezzo.
