There are many local amenities on the doorstep in the town centre such a supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and clothes shops, as well as many interesting historical places for visitors to explore, such as the Porlezza village of Cima which features the ruins of an ancient fortress.
For nature lovers, the nature reserve of Lago di Piano is situated just a 10 minute drive away and is a wonderful place to enjoy a picnic and to cycle.
The cosmopolitan and sophisticated Swiss city of Lugano is situated very nearby and offers beautiful open piazzas, wonderful shopping boulevards, cafes, restaurants, cinemas, casinos, night clubs and high fashion label designer shops.
