Situated on the prominent Gaeta peninsular along the desirable central lake guests are able to not only enjoy staying in fabulous lakefront location but also in the famous Villa Gaeta, a stunning Liberty style villa used in the James Bond movie ‘Casino Royale.’
The ground floor property is perfect for couples and enjoys private use of the original stone, brick and fresco entrance which leads guests to a beautiful living area furnished with comfortable sofas and SAT TV. The original features provide added elegance from the splendid parquet flooring and high windows, which overlook the garden and allow for plenty of light to flood in. A bar area also features in the room and makes the perfect place to prepare aperitifs and romantic cocktails during your stay!
From the living area a bright and spacious separate kitchen diner also enjoys views over the grounds and provides the perfect place for when guests dine in during their stay. The kitchen is fitted with all the desired appliances including an electric hob so that guests can easily prepare delicious meals from the fresh local produce available.
A breakfast table situated to the private porch balcony provides the ideal spot for morning breakfast and evening meals as it overlooks the lake and the stunning shared garden which enjoys a lakefront, boat mooring and meandering paths along well maintained lawns and decorative borders. Guests can enjoy relaxing here with a good book and enjoy daydreaming from this breathtaking piece of paradise!
The internal accommodation further comprises a mansard level master bedroom furnished with a comfortable double bed, a modern en-suite bathroom and enjoying a romantic Tuscan ambience from the incredible frescoed beamed ceiling above.
From the villa parking is situated just outside the gated entrance and the nearby resort town of Menaggio can be reached easily by car in minutes, or by walking or cycling along the scenic ancient highway which leads past the villa.
In Menaggio guests can enjoy exploring this very picturesque town with its charming cafe-lined piazzas, wide choice of shops, bars and restaurants; it’s absolutely idyllic promenade and its modern Lido with outdoor swimming pools, sandy beach and onsite cocktail lounge bar.
The town is perfectly placed for accessing by car or bus the Tremezzina shore with its famous attractions of Villa Carlotta and Villa Balbianello and also for reaching Lake Lugano with its nature reserves and the cosmopolitan Swiss city of Lugano. A frequent car and passenger ferry service operates from the town between the other ‘golden triangle towns’ of Varenna and Bellagio and also to Cadenabbia. A fast service also runs to Como city to the south of the lake providing the perfect opportunity for a breathtaking sightseeing opportunity!
Apart from the many cultural excursions and beautiful natural man made sight of Lake Como the activities on the central lake also include hiking, cycling, swimming, tennis, golf, canoeing, sailing, power boat hire, horse riding and, for specialist activities, guests can also enjoy water sports, quad biking, chartered yacht hire, sea plane adventures, paragliding and skiing!

Our one & two weekly service charges are inclusive of final cleaning, bed linen, towels, heating, utilities & air-conditioning (if installed in the holiday property). Tea towels & beach towels are not supplied. If your booking is for more than one week, clean linen & towels will be provided on a weekly basis.

To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our online booking form and pay a 30% deposit by wire transfer or credit card. The remaining holiday balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.
