An exclusive and tastefully decorated apartment situated in a renovated historical Villa, which dates back to the 1600s and is set in a beautiful landscaped hillside Park, overlooking the nature reserve of Lago di Piano. A hidden gem giving you the opportunity to relax and unwind, yet located only minutes from the beauty of the Italian and Swiss Lakes.
The property itself has recently been fully redecorated & refurnished ~ it offers a large tasteful living area with comfortable leather seating, including a double sofa bed, a dining area and a luxury fully equipped granite top Kitchen.
The accommodation consists of a master bedroom with king size bed and a second bedroom with twin single beds. There are also one and a half bathrooms in the property.
Outside relax on your own private covered terrace with arched stone features, breathtaking views of the landscaped park, partial views of the Lago di Piano and the lush distant mountains.
Enjoy the Villa's shared park, which offers beautiful walks, a characteristically old Chapel, as well as the opportunity for guests to use the idyllic BBQ area with outdoors dining and seating area and the large shared swimming pool.
The pool opening dates are between 15 May - 15 Sept but can vary slightly depending on the weather.
A few minutes' walk will bring you to Lago di Piano which is a popular conservation area & nature reserve or to the village of Carlazzo to one of the local bars or restaurants.
A short walk takes you to the local Rotunda Restaurant, here; alongside the locals you can sample genuine local cooking.
Menaggio & Porlezza are only a few minutes' drive away, Menaggio is the main village on the western side of Lake Como its promenade is lined with palms and flowers during summer months and offers views to Bellagio & Varenna.
Piazza Garibaldi is Menaggio's main square which is lined with boutiques, cafe bars, ice cream parlours and is where the locals relax and enjoy fine Italian food.
People choose Menaggio for its undeniable beauty and temperate climate, spring begins in April and the warmest months are July & August (30°C). Temperatures are warm from April to late October and sunshine continues through November although the days are shorter during the winter period.
From Menaggio you can visit many of the palatial villas open to the public, set in fantastic gardens. An excellent way to view the villas is by boat which will transport you around Lake Como, also enabling you to visit the many villages and towns including infamous Varenna, Bellagio, and the town of Como at the South of the lake, which should not be missed for its beauty, café culture and shopping.
Everything you need is in Menaggio from banks and supermarkets to the main passenger & car ferry stop which allows you to access and enjoy everything the lake has to offer.
Porlezza at the end of Lake Lugano offers a Saturday market, the chance to stroll along narrow streets, a magnificent church whose interior will amaze you.
The cosmopolitan Swiss town of Lugano is only 15 minutes drive from Porlezza and offers an array of shops, bars, restaurants, a casino and an abundance of tourist attractions. Lugano is where Swiss and Italian civilisation meet, it offers palm trees, picturesque boulevards, along with stunning views of the lake and the Alps.
The Italian fashion capital of Milan is only an hour away, offering a mix of high fashion, shopping, history and fabulous food.
During the winter months you are only an hour away from the slopes, or 90 minutes from the famous ski resort of St Moritz.
