A generously proportioned separate kitchen to the ground floor provides all the desired appliances to prepare delicious meals during your stay, with a stainless steel fitted kitchen with hob, oven, dishwasher, two charming dressers and a big breakfast table ideal for relaxed morning catch ups over coffee and brioche. A private chef can also be arranged on request to prepare your meals and assist in hosting memorable evening dinners throughout your stay, or even for that special occasion!
The beautiful sloping shared landscaped grounds enjoy breathtaking views of the central lake with the famous Bellagio peninsular within sight to provide the perfect backdrop of romance and inspiration to alfresco dinner parties and afternoon tea, which can be enjoyed out here on the grand portico terrace or on the sunny terrace which features lovely wicker easy chairs.
The elegance and beautiful finishes are continued to the sleeping accommodation to the upper floor, with 4 spacious and grand double bedrooms, 2 twin single bedrooms and 3 single bedrooms. Each bedroom has been carefully furnished with high quality solid wood antique furniture and the high ceilings with lake and garden views make each room highly comfortable and a pleasure to stay and unwind in. A very spacious first floor terrace balcony also boasts incredible views and provides the ideal place to sit undisturbed with a good book and catch up on splendid Italian sun rays.
The Villa’s accommodation is completed with the convenience of 4 spacious fully fitted bathrooms and 1 modern shower room.
The villa is in the middle of a secular park that descends towards the lake with huge secular trees, romatic alleys, a stunning yellow pergola of antique small roses, a drive of cyprus trees, an antique small rustico that was used in past times for hunting/bird watching, called ''roccolo''. There are benches spread around the park on the most panoramic locations. If you like to enjoy FULL PRIVACY, well then Villa Matilde offers the most of it.
Around Lake Como you will not find more privacy then in this beautiful villa.
A private parking space is provided for guest’s convenience and a public parking area can also be used. From the villa and its glorious grounds the selection of amenities of the picturesque and highly desirable residential enclave of Loveno can be easily reached by foot. A cafe bar, an authentic pizzeria, children’s play area, nature reserve with cycle and hiking paths and the prestigious Loveno tennis club are all located here as well as a frequent bus service which operates from the village to the lakefront resort town of Menaggio, within 10 minutes!
The sunny Menaggio hillside also boasts further hiking routes, a wonderful Agroturismo and the famous Menaggio & Cadenabbia Golf Club.
From the Villa’s location guests can easily reach the wide variety of attractions, activities and services of Lake Como and Lake Lugano.
Activities reachable within 15 minute drive include tennis, golf, cycling, hiking, swimming and sunbathing at the Lido di Menaggio, power boat hire and kayaking, quad bike tours, horse riding and water sports.
