Style, magnificent views, location, tranquillity are just the few adjectives to describe this property. This is an apartment on the whole ground floor of an independent villa. The good size bathroom tiled and decorated in the local Italian way comes with shower, bidet, WC and vanity unit.
The property offers two comfortable bedrooms which is a perfect place for a family. Both of the bedrooms are furnished with TV, to enjoy the local Italian shows, Tv satellite in the living room. Ossuccio and surrounding area The beauty about Lake Como is in its diversity offering so much to so many. If you just want to come away for a week or so and put your feet up by the balcony with the obvious benefit of world renowned scenery Lake Como will not disappoint.
The area's only sandy golden man made beach can be found close to Ossuccio village (5 mins by car to Lenno) where waiters bring you your favourite cocktail while you admire the lake from beneath your miniature tented gazebo! For those who like to get out and about, lakeside walks, breathtaking villas, pretty piazzas, majestic mountains, quaint villages and quintessential Italian cities beckon.
The park in Ossuccio is favoured by locals her to soak up the sun or enjoy a drink at the bar. The lake como greenway is also found close by for walking enthusiasts who wish to sample the sheer beauty of the area and keep fit at the same time! The local regional food is amongst the finest in Italy as you would expect from a region so passionate about food. Milan is just over an hour away for the principal designers but Como city offers a more compact alternative with its array of little boutiques, cafe culture, paved streets, gothic cathedrals and stunning lakeside location.
Romantics are well served with the Villa Carlotta and it's majestic gardens, Villa Erba in Cernobbio, another lakeside favourite of ours - perfect to enjoy a gelato along the lake front whilst walking off another Italian lunch! Perhaps the most popular for sheer beauty is Villa Balbianello in nearby Lenno. Eagle eyed James Bond fans will no doubt have spotted the villa in the recent 007 adventure "Casino Royale".

Thank you very much for a lovely stay in your charming apartment. The views are amazing form the terrace and you have a beautiful garden. We very much appreciated the welcome pack, especially the Prosecco! We will recommend your property to our friends when we return home.
Thank you so much! This was a truly amazing finale to a wonderful trip to Italy! Your apartment was perfect in every way, so clean comfortable and with all of the things we could ever need. And that view! We couldn’t believe it every time we look out the window. We had such a good time cooking delicious meals at home. Our 10 month old daughter love it too! We really felt at home and would definitely recommend staying here to all of our family and friends!
We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Casa Serena and found the property to be just right for our needs. The beds were very comfortable and the seating area outside was perfect for enjoying the beautiful view.
We found the property easily after following your directions, but did find the steep drive up to the property rather challenging at first!
The team were most helpful especially in helping us to print off our Boarding Passes for our return journey.
We drove around in our hire car and managed to see most of the desirable places, but we did find the Italian drivers to be very impatient and rather rude.
We loved Lenno, Laglio, Cernobbio, Tremezzo and Bellagio. We took the ferry across to Bellagio from Tremezzo and found the quaint streets and shops delightful.
We visited Villa Carlotta and thought it was beautiful both the house itself and the wonderful gardens.
Our favourite restaurant was the Hotel Azalea Restaurant in Tremezzo and we loved to eat and drink sitting by the water enjoying the beautiful scenery.
We would have no hesitation in recommending the property to anyone interested in visiting Lake Como.
Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
Thank you so much for making our stay at Casa Serena so comfortable and relaxing. We had everything we could want, from the lovely welcome basket to the beautiful views and peaceful surroundings. I loved being able to use the herbs from the garden. Thank you Luigi, for helping us with the WIFI and translations. We wish our Italian was better so we could have got to know you better! I think we had a little of every sort of weather there! Sitting here on a beautifully sunny last day we can only say how stunning the scenery is and how helpful and friendly you have been! Grazie mille.
We had a very nice holiday here. We loved the house! Thank you for your good care and you know how to make a guest feel at home. Grazie!
Thank you for a wonderful stay at your beautiful villa. Thank you also for all the treats that you left us. It was very welcoming.
The scenery is breathtaking and we never tire from looking at it and these “bells”, well, wow. Wherever we are we hear them. You are very lucky to live here and we are lucky to have stayed.
Fabulous views from an amazing apartment with the most wonderful hosts upstairs. We hope to see you all soon! Grazie di tutto!
We had absolutely wonderful vacation with our 2 boys (3 and 1 years old). The appartment was spacy for all of us, with good beds and nice view of the lake! It is perfectly equiped with washing machine, dishwasher as well as microwave, which was pefect for the baby! The hosters were very helpful and nice (on our arrival we had even a pack of pasta and wine in the kitchen!). The gateway of the house is a bit tricky, as extremely narrow and steep, so i couldn´t drive up myself to the appartment. But my husband did it, and after some practice, it was not that difficult.
The appartment is on the ground floor, with a wonderful terrace, where we could sit till the late evening, even when it was raining. The house has a gate, so we didn´t have to worry about the kids running out of the property, which was very relaxing.
Ossuccio Is a nice village with a public beach (although not really suitable for the small kids) and a nice old church with a fantastic view. One can also walk from one village to another, as well as to Villa del Babianello (James Bond Villa) (allthough the road is not always good for the buggy). We also found a very nice small beach on the way to Lenno. Walking distance around 15 minutes, with sand and flat entrance to the water. Be sure you also rent a boat! It was great to drive in the evening and enjoy the view of small villages and the great villas.
I also want to mention another great attraction for the kids – a small bus-train which is driving from Lenno to Mennagio! Our older boy was sooo happy and could drive it actually every day! It was a nice alternative to the car and a great attraction for the kids (to our ones even more, than driving by ship).
A Very Enjoyable Holiday!
We recently returned from a week at Casa Serena. The whole experience of Happy Holiday Homes was first rate. From the outset, we had detailed and useful information that helped us to make our property selection. The pre-read material and directions were clear and accurate. On arrival, the office staff in Menaggio were very helpful, providing maps and other practical information.
Most importantly, our time at Casa Serena was delightful. The property was clean, quiet and had a lovely view of the lake. It is a short walk downhill to the village and the lake. Casa Serena was well equipped with everything we needed including lots of information on the local area. We ate our breakfasts each morning on the terrace, enjoying the lake on one side and the mountain behind us. The ringing of the town’s church bells added to the ambience. The owners of the property were friendly and very helpful, but not intrusive. We felt treated as special guests.
Ossuccio is a small village but has a couple of places to eat. We especially liked the cafe on the lakefront at the Lido de Ossucio, where we had a few casual evening meals. It has good food and a beautiful view. It is also possible to walk to Lenno via the pedestrian walkway for a broader range of options. To go anywhere else, you need a car or else catch a local bus.
During our stay, we rented a boat from Toby at Nautic Planet in Menaggio. The boat was in great condition and we loved travelling up and down the lake. Seeing the villas from the water gives a very different perspective.
Special thanks to Danilo for the expert advice on driving to St Moritz. Danilo gave us great information about travelling there and back, via two different mountain passes. The day trip to St Moritz was a nice interlude in our week in the Lake Como.
Thank you for a very enjoyable holiday.

WOW! What a magnificent view!
The apartment is really cosy!!! Not big but superbly equipped with almost everything that you might think of. We were welcomed with a bottle of proseco in the fridge and ice cubicles in the freezer (nice!). I had breakfast on the patio very day and the view of the lake was great!. The rooms were comfortable though not that big as they may appear in the pictures.
The bedsl - very comfortable with sparkling clean and white linen and towels. I really enjoyed the stay. A really comfortable place! But - we were a bit too early (beginning of June) and there were not so many sunny days prior to our arrival, so the rooms were a bit dark and humid. We were staying on the ground floor and there were some nice people living on the first floor (different owners?) But we spent most of the day out anyway.
Good and precise directions were provided as well so it was easy to get to the place. Lots of useful information about Ossuccio and places of interest! You can really rest there! And do lots of sightseeing - there is a map of greenways for hiking available so you can walk to Lenno (30mins) with Villa del Balbinanello or Tremezzo (60 mins) with Villa Carlotta. TV set(s) & DVD available, wi-fi as well (password provided)
We enjoyed Casa Serena. The location was good, the flat was comfortable, and well maintained and equipped, and our hosts, Cinzia and Sergio, were friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive. We had no trouble finding the property.
Our only suggestion is to upgrade your advice about the driveway. Perhaps we are mollycoddled by Australian conditions, but all three of us found it too steep, too narrow and too scary - and we have more than 50 years driving experience between us!

We enjoyed Casa Serena. The location was good, the flat was comfortable, and well maintained and equipped, and our hosts, Cinzia and Sergio, were friendly and helpful without ever being intrusive.
Casa Serena was absolutely breathtaking! Sergio and his lovely wife went out of their way to make us feel welcome. There was a mixed up in getting the keys, We went to the office and were told they were at the place fortunately Sergio was home and let us in. It was definitely difficult to find. Our driver had a GPS and still couldn't find it.
We had dinner on the L'Isola Comacina which I would highly recommend, and rode the ferry from Lenno all around to the different towns, which was so easy to do. I highly would recommend Casa Serena.
