I would love to tell you of our wonderful experience at Villa Chicca. The house was just as I had thought it would be from your photos. It's position on the lake was unique. We were there with all my family to celebrate my 70th birthday and the special dinner cooked and served at the house was delicious and great fun.
We went to Bellagio at the beginning of the week to meet my sister and her husband who had come on the train from Milan to Varenna and then the ferry to Bellagio. We found Bellagio very crowded with tourists so we spent the rest of the week at our quiet beautiful sanctuary in Lezzeno.
We went to The Stonehouse Restaurant which we enjoyed. We also went to the Hotel Aurora Restaurant quite a few times and we used their water sport facilities. The kids really enjoyed wake boarding! The Hotel was lovely and we enjoyed also their takeaway pizzas.
The village of Lezzeno was perfect for us. The only problem we had was when we arrived. We had no food and the shops were closed. There was no welcome pack at the house. I do think you should give out the food shop opening hours so we could have organised ourselves better. Particularly arriving on Saturday evening with Sunday village shops closed all day. But that didn't stop us from organising pizzas from Hotel Aurora to eat on the villa's fabulous terrace just looking at the exquisite view.
I thought the whole holiday was magical.
I will send separately my favourite photos.
